Aithon A90H - Masonry Fire Protection

Hard, reflective char with high insulation properties

AITHON A90H generates a hard, reflective char with high insulation properties, able to keep adhesion to the wall despite high wall deflection, due to approx. 900°C temperature difference on wall sides.

CLASSIFIED ACCORDING TO EN 1364-1 and EN 13501-2

  • Two hrs fire resistance (EI 120) applying 0,7mm of dry film thickness. (for any type of wall having thickness =>10cm)
  • Easy to apply by brush, roller or spray equipment
  • No need to move or remove electrical installations
  • Water borne, low VOC paint product, suitable to enclosed or poorly ventilated spaces
  • Suitable for damp environments and temperature below 0°C with no need to apply a top-coating
  • Compatible with wide range of colour finishes

A shelter against fire

At ambient temperature Aithon PV33 provides a stable, wax-like finish which preserves the natural beauty of wood. But in a fire the varnish softens and swells, forming a thick, high insulative layer which prevents the spread of flame and protects the wood from charring.

Aithon PV33 is suitable for use in public buildings, schools, housing, shopping centres, restaurants, banks, churches and for walls and ceilings in escape routes where timber or wood derivatives are used.

Environmentally friendly

Waterborne, halogen-free, low VOC content, Aithon A90H protects masonry as well as the environment.

Thank to its very low emission to the environment, A90H is approved for the fire protection in clean rooms (Outgassing tests at 40°C: 2,6 μg/g). This is a guarantee for any sensitive buildings like schools and hospitals.
